There are a few reasons this might happen when you try to do a mass import, here are a few:

"This email already exists"
- This means that there are duplicates within the field specified, and as you can't have duplicate emails in our system, it makes the spreadsheet invalid.
"The email must be a valid email address"
- This suggests that there is an error somewhere within that field. Common mistakes include:
- Unintentional spaces
- Excess/missing letters or special characters being present
"The _____ field is required"
- This means that you have not given a value for that field, in that row, for what is a required field, so the spreadsheet is invalid as it cannot be accepted.
